Arguably one of the cutest events at the rodeo alongside the calf scramble!  The audience’s children are called down the to arena to line up behind a gate.  Once the announcer says “go” the kids run into the arena!  A ram with a small ribbon tied to its belly is waiting in anticipation for the kid stampede.  The children will then run around the arena attempting to capture the ribbon from the ram.  Sometimes it takes seconds, other times lengthy minutes, but it’s always an audience favorite event!
